Daryk Rowland; in his role as the head of Risk Management for Guidance Software, shares with us his practical experience from numerous eDiscovery matters both on behalf of Guidance and for numerous customers worldwide. This is not a presentation where he will talk at a high level about abstract ideas, the changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedures (FRCP), or what you should be doing. Andy will take you through the down and dirty of what you will actually need to do, from identifying what to collect, to how to document your work. This is meant for the people who have had the finger pointed at them and told to make it happen in their company.

Bio:

Daryk Rowland is the Director of Risk Management for Guidance Software. Daryk is a veteran Police Detective with over 30 years Law Enforcement experience, investigating criminal cases for both the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Orange County, California District Attorney’s Office. In 1995 he focused his career in high-technology investigations and computer forensics at the Huntington Beach Police Department where he served as a detective and was responsible for investigating technology crimes and examining computer evidence. During his tenure he worked on numerous criminal activities involving electronic data and was a member of a Federal Task Force in Southern California.

In 2001, Daryk left his law enforcement career and began working as aconsultant in the area of computer forensics and High Tech Investigations. He has managed numerous high profile cases in the area of corporate fraud, government regulatory violations, theft of trade secrets and employee misconduct. He has also assisted in the financial industry with bankruptcy, financial restructuring, and asset tracking.
