Info Security Architect, Sr. Staff - 934026 - USA - California - Sunnyvale - Juniper

About the Position:

Participates in defining and implementing overall global information security strategy, policies, and procedures within Juniper. Enhances the company security posture by providing security advice and guidance to IT, non-IT personnel, and management worldwide. Designs and ensures implementation of processes governing access controls and reviews, risk assessment, and incident response. Coordinates activities of Information Security team members when appropriate

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and implements security software and scripting solutions to meet the changing security needs of the company.
  • Designs, develops and implements 3rd party access policies, standards, and solutions for partner and vendor access to company information resources.
  • Designs, develops and implements policies, standards, and solutions for isolating labs and other networks from the company’s network.
  • Leads the evaluation, selection and implementation of third-party security solutions.
  • Devises techniques to identify and correlate security events across disparate systems in order to provide better understanding of the security posture of the company, as well as any extant risks.
  • Identifies potential areas for security process automation.
  • Performs security reviews for major projects. Works with project teams to ensure information security requirements and policies are complied with and followed. Reviews requirements documentation and provides approval, where appropriate. Analyzes impact on Personally-Identifiable Information, and engages other privacy stakeholders to ensure compliance with Safe Harbor.
  • Develops criteria for assessment of incoming security approval requests. Works with business representatives, their affiliates and IT points-of-contact to understand, document and assess requirements. Identifies and develops alternate strategies or mitigating controls where appropriate, and engages any appropriate risk approvers.
  • Serves as a member of the Change Control Board. Using professional concepts, ensures that each proposed change is vetted for security impact.
  • Works with system, database, and application teams to design baseline security standards. Monitors compliance with established standards.
  • Participates in implementation of ISO 27001 by writing and participating in the review of applicable policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Develops cross-functional business relationships and utilizes them to forward information security principles.
  • Participates in SOX 404 compliance activities to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Serves as team resource for validating logical access requests. Develops best practices and provides guidance for logical access provisioning.
  • Maintains certificate (SSL and S/MIME) services for the company, assessing and satisfying PKI requests.
  • Provides litigation and investigation support to Corporate Legal, Human Resources, and Internal Audit functions. Writes policies and standard operating procedures governing data preservation and review. Works with relevant teams and individuals to preserve, provide, and/or review data as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10 years or more experience in the Information Security.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • CISSP certification preferred, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud Security Experience
