Job description

As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for supporting the Regional Sales Managers on the West Coast as they work with prospects and customers. Specific responsibilities will include pre-sales support of prospects from initiation of the prospect, through the evaluation phase and closing of the deal.

Qualified candidates can be located anywhere on the West Coast. Located near a major, metropolitan airport is necessary. The job requires travel up to 30-50% of the time, but in cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Pres-sales technical support and technical account management for regional sales team.
  • Design of secure networks
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of key competitiors
  • Drive product management and R&D to develop features critical to success
  • Develop and maitain an in-depth technical knowledge of the product line
  • Create and develop strong technical relationships with customers and channel partners to identify new opportunities
  • Collaborate with other Systems Engineers on high-level products and technologies
  • Participate in deployment review and forecast calls
  • participate in design review and release meetings

Qualifications

  • BS EE/CS or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in technical/pre-sales support as a systems engineer
  • 7+ years experience in the security market
  • Expert knowledge in security and fundamental knowledge of network
  • Strong UNIX, Linus and NT administration skills
  • Strong written and verbal communciations and presentation skills
  • "Whatever it takes" atttitude and motivated to find solutions rather than admire the challenge
