Senior Security Analyst - Altera

We are hiring an information security expert to lead Altera’s efforts to stay one step ahead of the bad guys. The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Develop and execute security controls, defenses and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce and web-based systems.
  • Examine malicious software such as bots, Trojans, etc., to understand the nature of their threat.
  • Resolve highly complex malware and intrusion issues using computer host analysis, forensics, and reverse engineering.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and report on malware incidents.
  • Understand the coding and programming level language critical to performing reverse engineering analysis.
  • Conduct simulations to determine if flaws and exposures can be exploited by adversaries.
  • Maintain hardware, software and network security tools and encryption protocols.
  • Administer security policies to control physical and virtual access to systems.
  • Review and approve solution architecture and design for all initiatives from a security perspective.
  • Provide information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration, or denial of access to information and systems.
  • Create and maintain the security architecture for all technology platforms.

The successful candidate's minimum qualifications will include the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the security realm with at least 3 recent years defending enterprise class systems/software.
  • The ability to think like a hacker. This is a highly technical hands-on position requiring candidate to have strong understanding of coding, the methods used to develop and deliver malware, and reverse engineering of suspected software.
  • Deep understanding of security in the following technologies: Wireless, Linux, Virtualization, Hypervisor, VDI, storage and Cloud design/architecture.
  • Minimum of 2 years in scripting.
  • Experience with reverse engineering tools and techniques.
  • Possess deep knowledge on Private Key Infrastructure (Certificates Services), IPS/IDS, DLP, NAC, SIEM, Penetration Testing, TCP-dump, Digital Forensic tools.
