Location: Sacramento, CA (open to San Ramon, CA or San Francisco, CA)
Duration: Full-Time role (not contract)
Duties/Position Summary:
This is a “hands on” operational role maintaining and managing information security tools involving multiple technologies. This includes but is not limited to: performing security event monitoring, maintaining tool health and availability, daily or weekly run-book tasks, tool access management, establishing and maintaining OLA/SLA’s with IT infrastructures teams that manage services that security tools and services rely on. Maintain responsiveness to business needs, ensuring customer satisfaction through continued communication with customers, peers, and management. Technical requirements/desires include familiarity with scripting languages, comfort working at the command line, SQL experience, and familiarity with common operating systems. Technical curiosity and fast learning are critical success factors for the right candidate. Knowledge of security industry terminologies and a desire to understand how security landscapes change over time are valuable qualities in a candidate. The candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technology designs to groups and business units outside of information technology personnel and be comfortable making presentations to senior management.

- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent or the ability to obtain within 12 months of appointment
- 6 years of Information Technology experience, with at least 4 years of experience in information security working with security tools, security operations, security intelligence or equivalent functions
