Robert Eggebrecht – President, CEO and co-founder of BEW Global

Robert Eggebrecht is the President, CEO and co-founder of BEW Global and has served as the President since 2002. Prior to co-founding BEW Global, he worked for Pacer/CATS - a Wembley-Ticketmaster Joint Venture in the finance area assisting in the international expansion of the firm’s sales and operations. Rob then joined Qwest Communications’ Business Development team that supported the commercial roll out of advanced network hosting and secured communication solutions, and then worked for Level 3 Communications in London managing multiple lines of business throughout the EMEA region. Rob entered the information and network security industry at Virtela Communications working with the executive management team on the international expansion of the firm’s managed virtual private networking (VPN) and firewall services reaching across the EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin American regions. His final position prior to BEW Global was in Copenhagen, Denmark leading the international corporate development activities for Gemplex, a provider of managed VPN’s and firewall services. Rob holds an undergraduate degree in International Business from the University of Denver, with an International Management Certificate from Georgetown University and Strategic Marketing Management Certificate from Stanford University. Rob is an active member in the ISO 27000 community and successfully completed the BS7799 (now known as ISO 27001) Lead Auditor Course and exam in October 2005 and most recently lead the development and launch of the first DLP managed service and cloud-based DLP delivery method.
